Overview
The first ship in Silversea Cruises’ esteemed fleet, Silver Cloud epitomizes the cruise line’s dedication to luxury, freedom, and ease of use. This 514-foot, 16,800-ton ship hosts only 296 guests at full capacity. Built in 1995, Silver Cloud has spent its life cruising between the world’s most exotic ports of call, pampering its passengers all the while. With a crew-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1.34, all suite accommodations, and some of the finest cuisine at sea, Silver Cloud is one of the most luxurious liners in operation, and it serves a clientele that demands the best service, dining, and accommodations possible.

  • What to Expect
Passengers aboard Silver Cloud expect one of the most lavish cruising experiences on the planet, and they are rarely (if ever) disappointed. This is a ship designed for those who seek the ultimate in luxury—and for those who are prepared to pay for it.

  • Amenity Highlights
From its incredible restaurants to its award-winning spa, Silver Cloud offers a stunning array of amenities. Each voyage includes feature films shown after sunset on the pool deck; a regionally specific lecture series delivered by distinguished authors, historians, and state leaders; and live music and folkloric shows that are not to be missed.

  • Who Should Go
Silver Cloud is meant for only the most discerning travelers from across the globe. The ship hosts passengers that appreciate fine art, fine food, and the cultural assets of each port visited. The ship’s all-inclusive policy eliminates billing headaches—gratuities, drinks, food, and everything else is automatically included in the price of a cruise. This ship is loved by well-to-do, sophisticated travelers in their forties, fifties, sixties, and up; families and younger couples are rare. Passengers hail from across the world, and all share an appreciation for luxury cruising, Silversea style.

Cabins
Silver Cloud shines in many ways, but its cabins may be its best attribute. The ship features all-suite accommodations, meaning that every cabin features ocean views, walk-in closets, all-cotton linens, down pillows, fresh fruit, complimentary bottled water and beverages, and steward service. All bathrooms feature marble tiles, Acqua Di Parma bath products, shower/bathtub combinations, hair dryers, terry-cloth robes, and more. 111 of the ship’s 147 suites feature private verandahs. There are six suite categories, ranging in size from the 240 square-foot Vista Suites to the 1,314 square-foot Grand Suites.

Dining
The Restaurant (main dining room)
Crisp linens, sparkling crystal, and a top-flight wait staff welcome diners to the ship’s main dining room, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The kitchen serves gourmet modern and classic French cuisine, and seating is open.

La Terrazza
Silver Cloud’s primary buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Diners can choose to eat indoors our outdoors, depending on the weather.

Saletta
The ship’s most elegant restaurant serves incredible food and wine to lucky diners nightly. Oenophiles, take note: the Head Sommelier offers recommendations from the restaurant’s expansive wine cellar.

Room Service
Silver Cloud offers 24-hour room service, including items from The Restaurant menu during regular dining hours.

Public Rooms
From evening shows in the multi-tiered Venetian Lounge to sweeping ocean views and top-shelf cocktails in the Panorama Lounge, Silver Cloud’s six passenger decks are studies in luxury and elegance. Other highlights include The Bar—an art deco shrine that’s easily the ship’s most popular spot for conversation and cocktails—and the Champagne Room, which offers fine bubblies, cognacs, grappas, cigars, and more. Also popular are the Silver Links golf program, which offers onboard instruction and rounds at some of the world’s finest courses, and the Moonlight Movies series, featuring first-run films shown on the top deck.
