The canal view from our window was stunning and the location was great for sightseeing in such a short amount of time. Amsterdam is a beautiful city and would love to go back! "

"Great location not far from central station and with a tram stop round the corner. Perfect for travelling solo The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress topper kept moving and sliding off which was a pain. The internet and tv kept stalling in the room Very noisy as faced into the Main Street but to be expected from the location. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - sorting out a taxi for me as well as recommending places to visit. They made it a great stay. "

"The Avenue Hotel is close to the Central Station which made it very easy to get around Amsterdam. It is within walking distance to many local attractions as well as the river cruise ship we were getting on. The breakfast offered (for a fee) was excellent. "Close to Central station yet in a pretty quiet area. Breakfast buffet is optional. Staff is friendly. I was surprised there was no option for people to be more eco-friendly and not have the towels replaced every day. Not a complaint, just a suggestion that it could be an option. Steep stairs in room could be hard on some. Good price for location. "
