"I have never been a beach, bars and booze guy so I never thought of coming to Bali. After visiting Kintamani and staying at Villa Jempana I am regretting not coming sooner. Serene views of the lake and caldera, central to lots of drives and the sunrises and sunsets, even in the rainy season were stunning. If being comfortable and cared for while quietly watching the farmers water their fields is you kinda thing, I can’t recommend enough. Ask for Molex."

"The room is very spacious with a big bed. The toilet is very nice as well. The only thing I would note is that for us which came from a tropical climate the temperature around the area might be a bit cold. Also getting grab/gojek is nearly impossible. I would recommend to arrange transport through the hotel to airport and long distance areas if not by bike. "

"The place was a great place to stay - we were only there the night and would have been happy to stay longer. The rooms are solid with stone finish and decor of the rooming place is beautiful We actually moved from one room to one with a kitchen and that was perfect as we had some dinner that we picked up and could heat on the stove. The only set back was that it was very difficult to find and the sign is above the parking gargage and not legible any more. Recommend that the signage be improved"

"Everything was simply horrible. Incredibly rude, none of the amneties were provided as promised, and everything was dirty, or simply didn't work. Urine stains, no electricity, no water, no internet, provided towels were dirty. If you simply need a place to sleep, sleep with the cows out back instead."

"Hotel was well-located, with beach access and near a convenience store. Plenty of food options around too, including Rimba cafe just across the street. Note that the noise from the bar next door is really loud as mentioned by other reviews, but it stopped by 11 and is generally very peaceful after that."

"It was disappointing to see the changes to the property post covid as we had stayed many times before. The buildings and pool are worse for wear, staff not as friendly, no footwear sign at open dining room but staff did not comply… I hate having bare feet on a restaurant floor. Increased prices by far … but less for breakfast … now pay extra for bacon with your eggs? We were the only guests on the first day but were sent to the “ naughty” corner outside with our happy hour cocktails to have a...

"Stayed in Serena Villa with our 12 & 10yr olds. The pool was amazing and clean. The view of the ocean amazing. Italian restaurant lovely. Hired scooters and zoomed around. Used snorkling gear at beach infront of resort - loads to see. Used Fresh Fins Diving for couple of drift dives. Can’t wait to go back!"
