This is a budget property in Barcelona terms. Rooms are clean, and up to date but also small and sparse. The Goth8c area is a great location. The worst feature was a shower which was almost impossible to get into and I am slim!

Friendly helpful 24 hour staff. Slow but servicable elevator. Only one bedstand. No outlet near the table (for the coffee maker) - there is an outlet we can use for coffee if we put the coffeemaker on the ground. Great wifi. Note that many taxis and shuttles cannot stop outside this hostal.

This hotel is right in the heart of the gothic district yet was pretty quiet at night. The staff has you turn over your key, which was nice because I did not have to worry about losing it and they give it back whenever you return 24 hrs a day. The bathroom was pretty large and had excellent hot water and shower pressure.

The hostel provided basic amenities and is suitable for budget travelers. However, the lackluster reception from the staff left much to be desired. Despite the clean rooms and functional facilities, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. While the location was convenient, I'd recommended solely for those seeking a no-frills stay, which is what we were looking for since we were there for under 12 hours but wouldn't stay for more than 1 night.

Hostal Levante is housed in an interesting, well kept old building. My single room on the fifth floor with private bathroom was small but efficient, clean and warm (Winter). There is an elevator. Situated in the Barrio Gótico, the location is fabulous!

Basic, but functional. Located in the gothic quarter, the hostal is within walking distance of las ramblas, near the transport links and has a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly.
