Loved the burgers and the corn chowder and the trout.

The hamburgers were worth return visits, as was the corn chowder. The gift shop had a size 2 Junior Ranger outfit complete with aviator shades and binoculars - stinking' cute!

I have been to the GC many times in the busy time of the year, April through November. This was the first time (January) I could even get a table. What a pleasure when it is not mobbed

Take advantage of the room fridge and coffee maker: Bring your own food so you can enjoy good coffee and quality sandwiches, yogurt, fruit $ granola Etc., you bring yourself. We always do this to save $ and to minimize expensive and unsatisfying restaurant meals. And if you can manage to have relatives bring instant coffee from Francev( they have cracked the code for good instant coffee there), that’s just a little bit of awesome sauce to help start the day. Yavapi Lodge does have a decent coffee shop, too.

restaurant is good and reasonably priced.

We ate here since all other options were too busy. The food is not very good but you can't expect a lot at a National Park.
