Was a great stay, great area, and cabin, would most certainly come again!
The property itself was really awesome, honestly the only gripe I had with the cabin was the fact that the floors were super dirty, and we had to clean them, and even then the wood floor still was really dirty, other than that though, the cabin was pretty clean, and very well furnished and taken care of, would definitely recommend to friends in the future!!!!

A Perfect Getaway
What a refreshing experience staying at this cabin this past week. It was beautiful and so incredibly comfortable. It’s located right next to a peaceful creek and surrounded by tall pine trees. It was very relaxing and was a perfect little getaway. It had everything I needed and if there was anything I wanted, there was a nice little convenience store a mile down the road that also had a made to order grill where you could choose from many different food options. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be back again.

Would stay here again
Cabin had great rooms and bedrooms. Loved the layout. A/C only cools the kitchen, dining room and living room. Does not reach the bedrooms. Recommend bringing a fan. Place needs maintenance done. Deck was peeling, Swing set had broken parts, horse shoes metal stakes were pulled out, due to it being late in the summer the creek was not deep. That being, there is a place on the way to trail of the giants that has an amazing creek. We spent two days playing with the kids there. Great off roading. Spent two days hiking around the giant sequoias. Saw deer, birds, coyotes, squirrels, owls. Also saw a yearling bear on the way to the sequoias.

Relaxed and Comfortable
From solid and friendly communication before arriving to easy entry, Christie’s cabin was a relaxed and joyful place to be away from the fireworks and into nature. The cabin is more spacious than the photos show, the beds all comfy (yes! Even the bunk beds!) The kitchen was well supplied but we couldn’t figure out the toaster with no lever to push down. 🙃😂 Being summer we didn’t need the oven but it could use a good cleaning, and that is literally the only thing that we had as out of place relative to the great comfort and cleanliness everywhere else. The yard is filled with delightful treasures of rock art and games. The deck was a wonderful place to make art and drink mimosas. Our two dogs roamed the yard happily. This is a lovely place to be and we highly recommend considering Lazy Akers for your next get away. We hope to return soon! Thanks for everything, Christie!

Lovely house nestled in the woods
We had a great time at this LOVELY little house in the woods. It is immaculately clean and so well decorated. Warm & cozy. It was an interior decorators dream. I loved seeing all the antiques. It also had modern conveniences like great TV’s and new washer/ dryer. We enjoyed playing cornhole in the backyard and swinging on the tire swing. We star gazed at night. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was so soft. We spent a few days exploring the Sequoias. They were amazing. We liked the Trail of 100 Giants more than Sequoia National Park. The Park was really busy and you could not bring your dog on the trails so we had to take turns hanging out with our pup. A note- the house is very far from gas and groceries so plan accordingly. Only one minor inconvenience- we bought food for a BBQ one night but there was not enough propane.

Lazy Akers is truly a little piece of heaven in the woods
What a great place! My wife, our little dog and I enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend at Christie's wonderful cabin in the woods. The cabin is very spacious, it was super clean, and had everything we needed for a great stay. The huge porch and backyard made it all the more special. Everyone we encountered along the way made for a fantastic vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning this winter.

Too far
While Christie did tell me her cabin was located in California Hot Springs, the cabin was listed as being in Kernville. That threw me off. I think the cabin should be listed more accurately. The cabin is very cute. The area was beautiful. It was just too far from things. Also, found lots of cobwebs in window and other places. The washing machine timer didn’t work at all and there was no laundry soap. Also ran out of toilet paper. And there was no where to buy more since the one store in town closed at 5. But overall the cabin was comfortable, the area was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Getaway
Christie's cabin was the perfect mountain getaway. She keeps her property immaculate! We really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen with all cabinets and drawers labeled with their contents. The deck out beck is gigantic! We sat outside every night to stargaze and enjoy the quiet. Cell service was non-existent, but the cabin has good WiFi. The place is very remote, only a small market for provisions so we brought most of our groceries with us. Also, there is no gas station in California Hot Springs, so be sure to fill up before heading up the mountain. Incredible hiking trails all around, such a beautiful place! We can't wait to go back next summer.

A slice of peace in the mountains
A wonderful cosy cabin nestled in the forest. It has everything you need for a stay, the deck is perfect for finding the sun or getting some shade. Some incredible adventures nearby and easy mountain road access to sequoia groves and the Kern River. Many allow dogs on leash to enjoy nature. It is rural, but a store down the road has everything you could need and who wouldn’t want to drive the lunatic roads for those views! A comfy sofa and a comfy bed at the end of the day are just what you need. Thank you for letting us “borrow” your perfect home away from home. Michelle, Tony and Cali the dog

Fantastic cabin
A friend and I were looking to do a girls weekend with some hiking in the Sequoias. With the fall weather, it was wonderful to stay in when we want to, enjoy the fire and some movies. The cabin was clean and modern, the beds were incredibly comfortable (bunk beds too!), and the property was great. Check in and out was easy. Thank you so much for a great stay!
