"Casa Duro was a fabulous boutique hotel that felt more had the intimate feel of a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the “Marcia” which was perfect for my husband and me and our adult son. We had 2 full bathrooms which was so nice as well a large dining room table where we played dominoes, Scrabble and Uno on a rainy day. The area surrounding had fantastic restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed walking around the lake and The Arboretum and Greenville. The best was Sisters restaurant just below our room....

"12 of us -- 3 generations -- enjoyed the house for a long weekend. The kids braved the pool, while the adults stuck to the hot tub (weather was cool). Trips to the pond and "barn," and a guest house for those of us who enjoyed quiet while the others whooped it up in the main house. Would definitely return for another Dallas-area stay. Host was exceptionally accommodating and helpful."

"We had everything we needed for our stay in Dallas. The house was comfortable and well-kept. The backyard was well-lit, warm, and relaxed. We enjoyed the fire pit and the cool weather at night. Some of the neighbors were a bit loud—blaring music well into the night—but they kept to themselves, and we hardly noticed them once we were indoors. Our group enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Great host!"

"The house was more than we expected. There were 14 of us, and we all had comfortable places to sleep. It wasn't as clean as we would have liked, but it wasn't terrible, certainly nothing we couldn't deal with easily. (Coffee maker was filled with coffee, dirty towels in the washing machine... stuff like that.) Overall, I'd recommend it."

"I was looking for the perfect place to go to escape the hustle and bustle, but not be too far from it. This was a great spot! Plenty of space for my kids to have their own privacy, and more than enough space for all of us to enjoy one another. The pool was an added bonus for my 9 year old, and I enjoyed beating my teenage son on the pool table! The host was very responsive, and the home was equipped for all our needs. "My family enjoyed our stay here in April. The kids loved the pool and spa. The host was very responsive to text messages. She was so thoughtful and provided extra towels and even solar glasses for us to use to see the eclipse! The bathrooms were a bit dated but there was always plenty of hot water. I wish there was more silverware too. We had a lot of people so we had to run the dishwasher a lot. Overall this is a great home to stay at with a large group. It is also close to many restaurants...

"Nice and spacious accommodation. Secluded for a good gathering. Just to list a couple of shortcomings that can make this to be excellent are, 1. if one of the garage's is converted into a game room with pingpong table etc. as there is huge parking space. 2. Audio system can be improved."
