"Our stay at Suites Cielo y Mar was wonderful! We were on the 4th floor in a great huge apartment, with a sea view, a beautiful flower on the shelf and a large balcony and 2 bathrooms! Nevertheless there was a shortage of the staff in the moment of our stay, our room was cleaned every day. In addition, we were able to enjoy the top roof pool and to use the parking inside of the yard. Moreover, there is a really nice chill area just next to the cafeteria where every morning we were enjoying the breakfast which is not very rich, but you are not charged about it and there are fresh fruits, tea, coffee, bread cheese butter, toaster and so on.Something that I really enjoy is that the owners take an eye for almost every single detail, the plates in the cafeteria are from metal, but are very nice. You have also the possibility to take rent a bike from the place. Just in front of the Cielo y Mar is the main street,but you are in quite area. If you continue to the right you can reach the city center in 15-20 mins. walk. As a conclusion, we do recommend this place and encourage the owners to continue doing their job, because from our perspective this is the sustainable way of doing a good business at a competitive price! "It is a Gem on the 5th Avenue. We took a 4 day vacation and I needed to work for 3 days remotely (needed to quite a few health consultations over the internet phone). Wifi was #1 requirement. Each room has a router and dedicated wifi signal. This is the best connection I've had, both wifi and cable worked GREAT. No drops, no loss of signal...unlike "all inclusive resorts." Rooms are modern, clean, staff is friendly (host and her son speak good English), place is quiet, away from the 5th street noise, 4 min walk to the beach (very nice and clean-also not noisy, unlike "all inclusive.") Hotel is in safe neighbourhood and within 1-7 min walk to great food places. We ate mostly on the 5th but price wise, baja cafe next door has the best prices. Their combos are great. NOTE: eating out prices are the same as in Canada...be prepared. We also bought food at the super market on the 10th street and fruit from the stands on the 15th (they were SUPER DELICIOUS). It's about a 15 min walk. We loved sun tanning by the pool and watching the ocean. Next time we'll go for the "queen bad," as there is more room for a couple. We are looking forward to be coming back with the boys, as it is truly a GREAT PLACE. Special thank you to Mighty and her son...oh yes, we loved the turtles in the pond. Quite the characters have to say. Thank you for creating this place. Each morning and evening I spent quite a bit on balcony in meditation... even though I had to wear the ear plugs."
