"The three of us were very comfortable in suite 1 with the little twin window bed. The sound of the ocean drowned out the songs of the coqui frogs. It was a great location to see the sights on the Hilo side. The breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit, French toast or coconut pancakes, eggs to order, and juice. They have a little cabinet with first aid items and extra sunscreen.The hosts were caring and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place!!!"

"My husband and I stayed there for four nights and we had the most wonderful time there. Every morning was a different type of fresh cut fruit, mostly grown in the property and home bake goods. It was delicious! The room was small but comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for. The property and location was great too. It was a 10 minutes walk to rainbow falls and 5 minutes drive to downtown Hilo. "

"Our Hālau Group Of 10 adults return to Hilo every year for the Merrie Monarch Hula Competition & Festivities. This Is our 2nd year to stay at Honomu Haven! We feel more at home staying here rather than a Hotel! Each day the girls take turns in preparing a breakfast before we depart for the day and also prepare a dinner to eat when we return in the late evening after the competition for that day has ended.
