It seemed like a great place- big enough for a family of five comfortably! The only downside was the amount of bachelorette parties or “hen” party’s. This hotel and the area seemed very accommodating to these type of hotel goers rather than families. There was simply too much noise both in and outside the hotel from these parties for our family to be comfortable.

Stayed here with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. The room was smaller than expected but suited our needs. The jacuzzi bath was relaxing, the only negative was the bathroom has sensor lighting so you cannot relax fully as the glare of the ceiling light hits you with no way to turn it off. As soon as we checked in we had constant noise outside our door, big groups arriving and knocking on eachothers doors and being loud in the hallway. This wasnt too bad until it reached around midnight and somebody was screaming at our door and knocking it. Someone else also tried to open our door. I do understand there is hen partys etc but the hotel should think of ways to seperate the floors between hen do’s and people who just wish to relax.

Awful cleanliness - eyelashes on the floor in the bathroom, TV didn't work, hot/water tap was broken and fell off, sinks were blocked in the kitchen and bathroom. Told staff on check out - did nothing and let me leave with a 'sorry for the inconvenience'

Both check in and check out we’re quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 219 the laminate flooring was un even and had holes. The bathroom had down lights hanging from the ceiling The jets in the bath led to the bath being dirty when used. There was small open door next to the bathroom that led to a room that wasn’t used or meant to be seen. The aircon was left on all evening and didn’t change the room at all.

Would not recommend staying here, for the cost it was terrible!! no hot water, pay over 40$ for breakfast and then have to beg for a cup of tea!! seriously. Manager was no help, even when discussed concerns the answer was "will look into it" Do not waste your money, stay anywhere but!!

This hotel is clearly very old. The lobby looks like it’s trying to be hip but the rooms while large and spacious have no modern conveniences. There were no usb ports to charge a phone. The shower head is in the middle of a deep tub but with no shower curtain to prevent the water getting into the floor and so a little dangerous getting out of said tub

Our room looked shabby . We had two single beds pushed together to make a double and it was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling had mould growing in the corners , the jet tub bath wouldn’t drain properly and the Lino flooring was ripped and coming up in places . As you first walk into the hotel it looks lovely and very welcoming and all the staff are helpful and friendly. All they need to do is give the rooms some tlc and have a bit of a up.

The property is in a great location. The property just needs to be updated, very worn, the carpet ripped up, furnishings old and not kept up. Definitely not worth the price we paid for the room, but it was a match weekend for Liverpool, so I’m sure that is why.

Big Disappointment
The hotel was widely recommended by my daughter who stayed there several years ago. Sadly, it is now in need of a major refurbishment. In our room the bathroom fittings were loose, the basin was cracked in several places and it was slightly blocked. There was only one small window in the room which was broken and locked shut. To be fair the staff were friendly and courteous but other than that there is not much else to recommend it. The great Bill Shankly would certainly not approve!
