This hotel was conveniently located near popular tourist attractions, shopping and dining. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a river view which was lovely, especially since the bridge softly changes colors all through the night. The building itself is older and could use some updates. It was clean, but there were a few areas I wished were cleaner. Breakfast was good with a good variety, however it seemed that they serve the same breakfast dishes daily. We stayed for a few days and would have liked some change in menu items. Parking garage fits large SUVs.

The View of the Mississippi River from our room (1112) was spectacular!! We couldn't keep our eyes off the windows both day and night! The bridges light up at night and do a light show, we also were fortunate to see amazing firework shows two nights from the comfort of our room! But the river is mesmerizing from the large picture windows!! Definately a huge highlight!! The staff was friendly and helpful! The location of the hotel is wonderful! We walked everywhere, or ended up taking the the trolly, (about a 3 minute walk from the hotel). We paid about $27 dollars each way to the airport with Lyft and took Lyft rides to and from Graceland, as both are about 15-20 mins from the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel was extremely plentiful and fresh! They had many choices and in abundance, from hot food to cold food, to fruit! The hotel room was very clean and bathroom looked recently renovated! The beds too were quite comfortable! Only downfall was the pool and pool area were under construction, so completely out of commission for swimming, etc. We are not informed this prior to our booking. And they were doing construction on it while there early in the morning, which was disturbing, but they were apologetic in regards. We would definitely recommend the Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis and would stay again if ever return!
