This hotel would have received 5/5 had the first customer experience at check-in was annoying especially at a 5 star hotel which was selected purely for the customer experience one would expect. At reception both members of staff were serving a customer. My son and I stood partially behind both people to approach the first available member of staff. A couple approached the front desk and stood next to my son as soon as the staff member behind the desk was free they approached her in the meantime another gentleman stood behind them to be served. Instead of acknowledging that we had been waiting in the queue the staff member not only served the couple but also the gentleman behind them before acknowledging us with no apology. Absolutely appalling and not a good first impression.

Great value for money
Excellent old school hotel. Fully refurbished on the inside with a wonderful, huge open lobby space. The outside facilities need a bit of a paint job maybe (also the inside roof), but otherwise, a great place to stay. Breakfast is very nice, there is a great lap pool in addition to a normal pool, an excellent fully equipped gym (one of the best I've seen in hotels), and some nice dining options.

A good family place to stay
start your day with a great breakfast. Spa and steam room. Nice pool but a little pricy for the rooms. With sea view or even city view. Friendly staffs Walking distance to royal opera house

Property was very clean. Room was spacious and staff was accommodating. Access to the public beach from the pool grounds and close to the opera house. Breakfast was just so-so. They were short on seating, plates, glasses, and always out of drinks. Both mornings we had nothing to drink at breakfast. Only one morning we managed to get a coffee.
