We arrived at the hotel on May 24th at 11:20 pm. The manager told us the hotel was completely booked and full and the only room they have was with the A/C unit not working and probably not working for the full stay until Monday 27th. He gave us 2 options: 1) to cancel the booking with any penalty or 2) to give us half rate each day. It was 11:30 pm and I was with a person of 75 years old therefore, we decided to stay in the room with the not working A/C. They did not solve the problem at all during our stay of 3 nights. Monday morning May 27th I told the lady at the front desk what had happened and she confirmed they will reimburse us exactly half amount of what we paid including the hotel booking protection we bought. Up to now they just gave us back 1/5 of what we paid. For my calculations they need to give us back the remaining 4/5 to complete and fulfill their promise. I have copy of the receipt from May 16th and a copy of my bank statement showing what they gave me back up to the moment.

Had a great two night stay here. Fast check in/oit. The room had good size for two people, was clean, pretty quiet and modern looking. The elevators were fast (which can be an issue at NYC hotels). We loved the happy hour bar vouchers; the bartender was cool. Wish we could have taken advantage of the voucher on our second day, but we had plans. This was the third time we stayed in a hotel in the Flower District over the last few years and it’s definitely the best one of the three. Definitely would stay here again.
