"We could not have been more pleased. Our early birds enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the mornings drinking coffee and listening to the light sprinkle in the trees, while watching the local "wildlife" in the yard. Those of us who enjoy a few more hours of sleep loved the peacefulness of the place. We had everything we could have needed - our hosts thought of it all! The location was wonderful for a visit to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Hilo was only a short drive away and we visited that area a couple of days as well. We can heartily recommend Jungalow!"

"I am super impressed with how easy check in was, received an email with specific details. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was extra nice that our breakfast was in the room, especially because we wake up earlier than most guest. If we ever return to Volcano, we will absolutely be staying here again. Lots of restaurant options very close, the national park is extremely close too. Overall the perfect stay for my family. "

"Beautiful setting in a remote location. The condominium was very comfortable, almost like home. Wish we could have stayed longer. If you are going to stay at Colony I, do your grocery shopping before arriving. Closest grocery store is a 30 min. drive. Same with dining. Be mindful that there are few restaurants near the property, and after 6 PM it's a 30 min drive minimum. "

"During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). Lisa was a wonderful host who ensured we knew how to use the facilities, and I would definitely check in with her before your arrival to see what supplies are in your specific yurt (previous guests may have left gently used items or extra things behind - we left sunscreen and water bottles, for example)."

"This was the perfect house for us. We especially loved the separate bedroom for our son to stay in. It was a fully stocked kitchen and a nice grill so we cooked in every night. The hot tub was great too! Mindi and John are wonderful hosts with top notch communication. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The pictures just don't do this place justice, it's way cooler!"
