I had a great stay at Hotel Soft. It had very easy train and metro station access as well as a grocery store nearby. The staff was pleasant and helpful. My only comment (and this isn't a criticism as much as a word of advice to would-be patrons) is that the shower was incredibly small. I'm a little thing at 5'8 and 140 lbs, and it was a tight squeeze for me. There's nothing the hotel could really do abbot tis, and it's par for the course, but it's something you should keep in mind when booking. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and would stay there again.

Good small Paris Hotel near Railway Stations
We used this hotel for the first time as it was a short walk from Gare L'Est, our arrival and Gare du Nord for our departure. We just stayed the one night but would gladly use it for a longer stay. There was easy access to the buses and the Metro and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Like most smaller Paris hotels the rooms were compact but the bed and shower were good and there was nothing to complain about. A Buffet Breakfast was extra at 12Euros pp but certainly better value than nearby cafes. We would gladly stay again. If you would prefer the bus to get around then consider using the 42 from Gare du Nord which runs on part of the Champs Elysees then over the river to finish by the Eiffel Tower.
