"This is a beautiful guest house tucked away along the South Fork of the Kaweah River. It's lovely hearing the river, which is just a short walk away. We had everything we needed for our few days visiting Sequoia National Park, with a comfortable bed, well-outfitted kitchen, and cushioned patio furniture to relax outside and listen to the river. The host was exceptionally responsive. Definitely recommend for a secluded, comfortable getaway!"

"I had a great stay at this property. I checked in and saw the WIFI not working which was hell the first night but the next day Mr. Hal Sousa fixed the issue and stayed in communication throughout. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for something affordable and close enough to the park (40min). I will stay at this property again for sure when making a trip back to Sequoia National Park. Thank you Mr. Sousa for the great service."

"Awesome quiet place with modern amenities. Walking distance to the cafes and store. Right down the road from the ranch (wedding). Was the ideal stay, would recommend!"

"Stayed here during the Memorial Day weekend to unplug from the big city (we drove from the Long Beach area) and it took 3.5 hours. Charming little cottage right by a small creek. My children ages 4 and 7 adored finding small creatures and playing in the yard. We had a “picnic” outside each dinner time. Since it’s so close to the 100 Giants trailhead, we managed to get there early before the holiday rush and leave before craziness ensued. My husband enjoys fishing and Kern Lake is also close by....

"The property was very well maintained and very clean! It had plenty of natural light and the lighter color paints throughout helped brighten the place up. Beds were comfy as well as the living room sofa. Driveway was a little tricky for parking if you don't use the owner's suggestion. Property has all the pots, pans and cooking utensils to make your own meals as well as some condiments."

"My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. My daughter has also been asking to go camping for at least a year and we weren’t ready to buy all the equipment. This was the perfect way to get the camping experience without the commitment! The view of the river and the mountains was breath taking. The restrooms had real toilets and were immaculate. "One of the most beautiful we’ve stayed in, really showcases the mighty Kern river and the glorious backdrop that is the Kern River Valley. You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!"
