Played the Norman 1 and Nicklaus 1. I played the back tees and it gave me everything I wanted. Some things I learned. Always take 1 extra club than you think. The wind from the ocean is stronger than you think. On the Nicklaus 1 (or back 9) hole number 6 was a fun one from the back tees. It’s a par 3 that you tee off over a beach bar connected to Secrets. I was a little afraid I was gonna blade a ball right into the bar (but rest assured I didn’t...sure that would have been a fun story though). #3 is very fun too. Up at the top of a mountain you tee off and it’s all down hill. Play a power fade and you are gonna love the results.
#5, 6, 7 holes on the Norman course were my favorite. Of course it may have been the crazy huge houses that I was seeing also. What do these people do to afford something like that???? Guess I’m not trying hard enough. Ha!
All in all it was a great course. Not extremely hard off the tee, but if you aren’t use to changing elevations then that may take some getting use too. If your golf game is in the pits the next best thing is you can eat and drink till your hearts content as they have “comfort stations” after the 3rd and 7th holes on each 9. Enjoy!
