Staff were fine but this hotel is long overdue a refurb. Shower was badly lime scaled and shower tray was dirty and chipped. shower pressure and heat wasn't great. 3 rules - Clean, comfortable bed and good shower - you failed on 2 out of 3. only the comfy bed saved you from a 1 star if I'm honest.

First impression is excellent, but 2 things are really poor. 1)the USB charger is not functioning and discharge the phone battery, 2)the shower is too weak and the hot water control is “hard to handle”

My flight was delayed by almost 2 hours, any longer would have meant I would miss the last train from paddington to London, I called the reception and was put at ease by the person, I think it was Nick, reassured me there would be someone available to book me in. As promised, was met at reception, quick and easy check in, comfortable bed, it was a great night's sleep.
