The staff was slow at every restaurant, however it could have been due to overcrowding of guests. The restaurants, bars and stores inside were extremely over priced. Prices comparable to a Vegas setting, without the Vegas experience.

All of the staff we spoke to were kind and helpful. Our room was a little dirty and when we called the front office they offered to come clean the room or put us in a different room. Besides the room and mess the stay was enjoyable.

We enjoyed our three-night stay at the GSR! We were here for a gymnastics competition and this resort had everything we needed for a fantastic experience. The mobile check-in was easy and our room was available and ready early. The room was modern and clean. There were so many dining options (our favorite was the lobster roll at Chickies) and the Starbucks was lovely. We went to the pool everyday and the pool staff were fantastic. Will absolutely return!

I booked a room with a bath tub for medical reasons. My reservation clearly said, two queens with a bathtub/shower combo. It clearly said bathtub. A bath is mandatory if I expect to sleep. Grand Sierra should never advertise a bath tub when there are removing them. What incompetence is taking tubs out of hotels!! My body has been through 44 surgeries. To sleep my muscles must be soaked in water. So last night, I never slept and cried in pain from spasms. They should refund my room 1205 for Sat night as it was not acceptable. DJ Simpson

The rooms are extremely dark and outdated. They also very super dirty and dingy. No usb ports in the rooms. You can’t bring your own drinks into the pool area. But then charge you $20 for a drink @ the pool bar. There were lots of fun activities right there @ GSR. My kids had a blast. Just a super expensive weekend for a very mediocre hotel room.

2 issues initially, they did make it right and moved us to a new room. 1. We online checked in ahead of time and it says when your room is ready it they will text you. When we arrived we still hadnt gotten a text so we waited around and were later told to stand in the check in line. After we checked in from the line we received the text that our room was ready. Total check in time 40 min. What is the point of online check in if you have to wait in the line when you get there. 2. Our room smelled steongly of smoke when we got there, same as the casino floor. I called the front desk and they assured me that we were in a non smoking room but was next door to smoking rooms so the smell travels. I asked if there was anything they can and they said no, i pused again that the smell is so strong and i didnt want to stay there with my kids, they then offerred to send in a machine to clean the air in the room but would take an hour (it was already 10pm). I declined and pushed again that there must be something they can do, after a hold they said they would get us a new room. We were told to wait at the room and someone would bring our new keys to us and tell us where our new room was. After 20 min of waiting, i went to the front desk to ask and was told no one had grabbed our keys yet they still had them at the desk. One would think this is because they were busy but 4 people were standing at the desk looking at their phones and talking. I got the new keys and the new room was clean.

My daughter attends University of Nevada Reno. This hotel is in the idea spot!!! Customer service always great....Not far from UNR, Walmart across the street. The restaurants in the Casino are all first class, we enjoy them all. And they always have something going on. Had an old school classic car show while I was there, but didnt get a chance to attend (flying out). Not far from other shopping and eateries. Every time we go to Reno will STAY HERE!!!

We showed up late at night and there was a huge line for check-in when I got to the front the lady started talking to some gentleman and after over 10 minutes she checked us in there was only double rooms I booked a king room but they did have a king smoking which I said that's fine we're just going to go sleep because it's so late as long as it's clean. when we got to the room It was very noisy from other guests screaming and yelling The bedding wasn't so comfortable we took a shower after driving over 12 hours and finally got to bed after 2:00 a.m. we got woken up by the telephone so we called the front desk and asked for a late checkout since we were really tired and they said 12:00 by 9:00 a.m. when we just got back to sleep there was pounding out the door from the maid telling us we needed to be out by 11:00 I let her know that we have a late checkout at 12:00 She side and said 11:00 and walked away we couldn't go back to bed so we got our stuff ready and left I went to the front to let them know that the maid shouldn't be banging on people's doors in the morning like that especially after we made in agreement and the lady was bothered by my comment and didn't even care needless to say I don't think we'll be going back or will be recommending this place . They charge you $2 which is not bad for the maid service you can tell him you don't want to but I had told him at check in that's fine and they charged $45 for resort why do we have to pay resort fee we didn't use any r

Wonderful staying in the GSR! I loved it! Very pretty clean room! Fast service, and very clean and friendly staff. I also liked that there is a lot of security guards in the casino and around the hotel, it made me feel safe! I would definitely stay here again. I believe it's a Top hotel in Reno, a gem in the dessert. Had so much fun in the casino and won $70, in some casinos I don't win anything.

The hotel was fine, nothing special. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable and the pillows were big and hard. The staff was great, but the food was lacking. All in all it was just ok.

Stayed on Mother’s Day with my 90 & 94 yr old mother & mother in law. There was no way to hold the doors open in a wheelchair accessible room to wheel them in. Doors were very heavy. Also the elevator doors wouldn’t stay open long enough to get both wheelchairs in before it closed. It was awful
