"Island Inn and the overall area are still recovering from the Hurricane that impacted SE Florida. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our accommodations were in excellent condition. However, there are few amenities on property and one damaged building on property that will need to be demolished and rebuilt. "Considering all the surrounding damage done by the hurricane, the property was in remarkable condition. The only negative for us was the condition of the mattress which was uncomfortable. "Our group was three women ages 55 to 84 and a 20 month old toddler. Mostly a very positive experience, but it would have been nice to have sliding glass door blinds or draperies for privacy in the living room, as it faced the main house. Also there were a lot of loose cords and cables in the living room which were enticing to a toddler. Except for the stairs which were difficult for the 84 year old and toddler, we would definitely consider returning here."

"I booked this condo for a girls trip. They place was easy to get to and sits on the water in a channel. While we didn't see much wildlife in the channel it was still nice sitting out on the screened patio by the water.
