"This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. "This is a very nice B&B located conveniently to the attractions around Kerr Lake Reservoir . It is owned and operated by a couple from the Netherlands who sprinkle a little Dutch into the breakfast. The house was a pre-civil war Tobacco Plantation home. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and Martin, our host was very attentive and helpful. I would rate it a very good value"

"It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$...
