Never heard of " tru by Hilton" booked 1 night based on Hilton name only. They say pet friendly but then hit you up with a $75 upcharge when you arrive and a $20 cleaning fee (refundable maybe?) for a 5 lb dog. No where did I see this on their web site, it's hidden, and probably how they are making their money since the up charge is approx 1/2 of the nightly room fee. And you don't find out until you are checking in and they know they have you over a barrel.
Rooms are small, IKEA like furniture, Examples are in many of these reviews so I'm not going to list it all again. Very disappointed, and had to apologize allot to my wife. especially after paying a premium price, and expecting higher end furnishings
I get what they are doing Ultra low cost furnishings, lvp flooring that's is very easy to clean etc, but I didn't pay a premium price for Ikea college dorm furniture and decor, very small fridge, (no freezer for our cool packs) no in room microwave or coffee maker, only two paper cups to use when brushing teeth.
Everything in this hotel screems cheap, save money, get the most out of charges.. I'm convinced the high ratings is because the hotel is new, after a little wear and tear the ratings will drop significantly
Staff was nice and hotel is new,... that's the only thing going for it won't be staying in Hilton hotels again.
