Rustic cabin over looking Cordell Hull Lake

This is a great place to get away for peace and quiet! It is also within a few steps to the water!! Great for fishing, kayaking, and a mile to a boat ramp! It is located a half mile to Salt Lick Campgrounds! This is a very old log home rebuilt in 2017. If you like rustic and being in the country this is the cabin for you! The cabin has a breath taking view of water!! You can see animals right from the front porch, such as, deer and lots more!!

Remote getaway
The two bedrooms with full size beds, two bathroom, queen size pull out couch, was perfect for my mother, my two children, my husband and myself! The space heaters worked nicely to keep us warm during the chilly days and nights. The beef cows right next to the cabin serenaded us one night, which was the only drawback! The next day we were able to feed one of the cows as well as the pony that was with them. We recommend an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive to get up the gravel road to the cabin. This cabin is far from all amenities, so shop prior to arriving! LOL

Our family always looks forward to spending a few days during spring break at the cabin. It has become a nice family tradition. We love the cabin and the surrounding environment. A great place to stay!

Wonderful weekend in a rustic farm cabin
So happy we found this hidden gem. We are a family of four, including two young children. This cabin was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. The kids loved seeing the horses, goats, and dog on the other side of the fence. One goat in particular enjoyed being petted. We did hot dogs and s’mores at the fire pit I’m the evenings. We took a drive about ten minutes away to Wartrace Creek Park where we enjoyed swimming, fishing, and the playground. The only suggestion I would make for the owner is to replace the grill brush with a silicone brush. It was a wire brush that seemed old, and we were so worried about a wire coming off onto the grill and getting into our kids burger that we just didn’t bother brushing the grill at all.

Great cabin
The cabin was great overlooking the lake. My family enjoyed the farm animals especially the horses and the goats. Cabin was listed as a 3 bedroom but is actually a 2 bedroom with a pull out couch. But it all worked out for the 4 of us. We all loved our stay there.

The property was nice and peaceful. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It sleeps 4 adults comfortably but we had 6. The sofa was a bed but maybe for kids.Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Home away from home piece of paradise
This has been our 3rd stay. Each time we make it a bit longer. It’s beautiful, quite, amazing view. Very clean and cozy. The host is just a call away and will help you with anything. Cabin has all amenities. Shop once and you would never wanna leave. We grill make fires just absolutely gorgeous.. great for kids as well animals and fishing everyone has a wonderful time. Will be booking again.

Host was outstanding and communicative at all times. View of the lake in morning was great, but the goats, horses and Todd the Great Pyrenees dog were there both mornings just waiting for attention (behind the low fence)The cabin was also perfect, although I'd recommend adding a pizza cutter. Higher recommend booking appointment.

Perfect Isolation
Our wedding anniversary was the perfect time to get back to our favorite cabin. This was our second stay. It was exactly what we needed. A few days with no traffic or noise. The cabin is the perfect getaway. It was so nice to sit on the porch and unwind. If you are looking for a cabin with all the bells and whistles, this isn't the cabin for you. However, if you want to destress and enjoy the quiet of nature, this is your cabin. Glenda made sure everything we needed was provided. We look forward to coming back soon.

Paradise!
This cabin is perfect for those who need to get away for a few days to relax, refresh, and reconnect. The hosts are THE SWEETEST!! The farm animals and scenery were just what our souls needed! Already looking for dates to go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this out of the way cabin. (Don’t worry! You’re only about 20/30 minutes from a WalMart/DG! )😁

This was our second stay. Very peaceful beautiful. Lake view animals great for kids. Awesome for even a private get away.. The host is amazing and and there for u if u need anything. Cabin is supplied with everything you could need. Grilling bon fire pit. A slice of heaven. Already booked again for may will be out 3 rd say. We just love this little cabin. This was our second stay there for a few days. Me and my sister have stressful jobs and we go just to get away from it all and get some rest and relaxation. It is so quiet there and cozy and comfortable. It has been immaculately clean both times. We always leave refreshed. I would recommend it to anyone. You have complete privacy too. We'll be back!!
