"Basic, but did the job. If you’re looking for a bargain, this could be it. If you want something more refined, look elsewhere. The free breakfast is cereal, toast, or muffins in a tiny room and mostly depleted. And while some rooms have nice courtyard views, I wasn’t offered one. Carpet in room was filthy, but otherwise all was very clean. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay here. "

"I hate Wyndham but we’ve stayed at this Howard Johnson twice and it’s decent. It’s clean and remodeled and has been quiet both times. Parking is very cramped and a little limited, but fine. Nice staff. Rooms and bathrooms are small but fine. Appreciate the fridge and microwave. Overall a decent place to stay for something relatively affordable. "

"This is an old property that is well maintained. The staff was awesome! I was staying to attend an event at UC Berkeley. At the event I seriously cut my finger. In the morning after I needed a bandaid. They not only gave me a bandage, they also provided antibiotic ointment. I felt taken care of and really appreciated that. I’d definitely stay here again if I catch another show at the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley/ "
