"I cannot tell you guys about how much I recommend this place and how I have no words to describe The wonderful time I had at this hotel I loved every single moment of 5 days i stayed at this hotel. The staff from front desk to bars to resturant, housekeeping were is so nice and so willing to help, even though we had language barrier. The front desk person specially were so helpful, they are so quick to answer all your questions and so quick to help with whatever you it. "

"The facts: Close to town, Chedraui grocery and plenty of restraunts a couple minutes walk away, ADO Bus 20 minute walk, pool, restaurant and bar, breakfast included, refrigerator in room, coffee maker, no microwave, toilet and shower had no door so some lack of privacy, smaller rooftop plunge pool, pools stay open until 9, there was bike parking and scooter parking (not sure about a car), AC cold and worked while I was there, TV did not have cable but did have streaming, I had a king bed, no issues with noise when I was there (September), solo traveler. Opinion: I really enjoyed this place due to affordable price, AC, pools, free breakfast, everything mostly walkable though I enjoyed renting a bike for a few days (hotel does not have bikes). I would come back again myself but if I bring someone else, I would prefer a bathroom area that is more separated and has a door. Hotel staff was friendly my entire stay (6 nights). I recommend seeing the ruins (about 3 miles), doing the beach snorkel with rays and turtles, Dos Ojos Cenote, Gran Cenote. Plenty of cheap restaurants close by. I never got in a cab, I was told they were pretty expensive. Not crowded in September when I was there but hot. "

"Great cozy hotel right on the beach. Truly an amazing experience. The only downfall is since it’s on the beach you can only get to the hotel by taxi and it cost $30-$40 for every time you enter and leave the area to go into the city. And taxi drivers are always trying to maximize how much they charge. For that reason alone I will not stay in the beach area again. That was too frustrating. The first night I arrive the taxi drivers went on strike and there wasn’t any taxis available the second day I was in Tulum. I felt trapped. Be ready to spend a lot of money on their food as well. My friend and I would spend $60-$90 on breakfast alone at the hotel. I will say the food is super clean. They offer all healthy choices. They offer you one free healthy drink a day .i chose a shot of tumeric and ginger. Waking up on the beach was also breathtaking. The stars at night are amazing. "

"Copal Tulum has a beautiful junglesque, plantiful, eco friendly, earthy feel. We had a studio with garden pool. It was v spacious for two people. The decor was lovely and tiki. The pool out the backyard was just ok - not super inviting. It would have been nice if it was heated. There were a good few mosquitoes in the room - I'm guessing that due to the natural surrounding environment. The overall feel is lovely and relaxing with no sound pollution. The top floor pool was v relaxing at night. The restaurants were limited and while good and have a gorgeous feel are v expensive. Prepare to spend 100$ for a dinner for two (2 main courses, 1 side, a drink, water and tip). The staff are warm and humble and very easy to ask any questions and suggest things. The road to the hotel is a bit scary. On the first night the taxi brought us down a side road that was uneven, very ramshackle and kind of scary as it had no street lights. We took taxis everywhere (which will add up and vary in cost depending on the driver) but I'm sure you could walk 15 mins or bike to a restaurant up the road if you feel confident enough. Overall - for the price it was a lovely, unique stay! The hotel suggested a trip to a protected beach reserve at alito hotel. It was a gorgeous beach with v calm water, very clean and no one bothers you. What they don't tell you in advance is that you have to pay a fee to enter the reserve & 1000 pesos to rent a cabana but you get a meal and two drinks (great value though!)"
